Editorial Review:
Le Creuset's Poterie Stoneware is truly an All-in-One Dish that you can use for baking, slicing, serving and storage. Poterie Stoneware can be used in the oven, broiler or microwave and will not absorb odors or flavors. The durable finish resists chipping, scratching and staining. These beautiful pieces with their bold classic colors and sure grip handles go straight from baking to tabletop, making an impressive presentation.
With its versatile size and comfortable shaping, this rectangular baker from Le Creuset fits the bill for casseroles, veggie sides, and baked treats. Crafted from durable stoneware, it distributes and retains heat beautifully, and its handsome, nonporous enamel surface makes for easy serving and washing. Heavy-duty for years of use, the piece is impervious to lingering odors and does not stain, chip, or craze with normal wear.
One of the reasons Le Creuset stoneware is so popular is that it simplifies the steps from prep to cleanup. Use this dish to marinate in the fridge, bake in the oven, reheat in the microwave, and store in the freezer--everything but cook on the stovetop. Measuring 12 by 9-1/2 inches, the baker comes in several lively colors with contrasting neutral interiors. Coordinating Le Creuset ramekins, loaf pans, and pie plates are also available. --Emily Bedard

Very Disappointed:
It cracked completely in half and broke into two pieces in a 350 degree oven. I even placed the dish in a cold oven as directions state. I emailed the company and received no response. I do not recommend any Le Creuset Stoneware. I own a couple more pieces of stoneware, and I'am afraid to use it now. Afraid it will also break in half and ruin another meal.
You'll never go back to Pyrex!:
This baking dish is such a delight to use that I have since purchased several more Le Creuset pieces in various sizes. Anyone accustomed to using glass baking dishes will immediately notice how much easier Le Creuset is to clean. Just soak it for a little while in warm, soapy water and even baked-on residue will wash away with ease. Since we are so pleased with our own Le Creuset items, my wife and I now give these casseroles as wedding presents, Christmas gifts, etc. They are always very well received.
