Perfect for large quantities of soups and stews, or boiling corn or pasta:
I bought this pot after running our of room with my 8 and 12 qt stockpots when making large quantities of soups or stews to share or freeze. This pot is a dream. Cooks evenly and cleans up well. Moreover, it stores well--my 12 qt stockpot (also Calphalon) sits inside it and the two are only an inch higher than the 12 quart pot alone.
