Not Exactly What I Expected:
The size is perfect for storing cooking oil from medium to small fry jobs. However, the lid does not stay on well at all. The lid should have been designed to grasp the outside of the container or fit just inside the container wall or something. With that in mind, you have to be very careful when storing or removing the container from the cabinet or pantry. The strainer works very well and fits the container very well. Just like the grese can my parents used. I have been wanting one for years. I finally purchased this one and am very very pleased.
Grease Can:
This turned out to be exactly what I wanted. It holds just a hair more than a quart, so if you store your grease in fruit jars in the fridge, don't fill the can to the top first. the screen is fine enough to catch almost all of the junk but course enough for good flow. The front of the can has a pour spout, and of course it is all stainless steele, no aluminum here. defenately worth the price
