Missing test strip:
My test kit arrived but was missing the hardness test strip. Since this is why I ordered it, the kit is useless to me.
Don't buy this item!:
Two very obvious problems with this product!!
First, I received the product in an unsealed container, and it said it should contain 4 tests (1 bacteria, 1 lead/pesticide, 1 nitrate, 1 ph/hardness). It was missing the nitrate test (I had a duplicate ph/hardness test instead). I called Amazon and they shipped me another one (free - good customer service), only to find it had the same problem (unsealed box and had no nitrate test, duplicate ph/hardness tests). I figured I at least got a 8 tests out of... more info
OK for basic go/no-go testing:
This drinking water test kit is a decent go/no-go for the various tests listed. It won't give you exact numbers for concentrations and what not, but it will tell you if you're above/below federal limits (local limits may likely be lower, but with this test you won't have numbers to compare anyways). All the tests can be completed in seconds or minutes, except for the e.coli which takes many hours (overnight basically) to get "results". Price is good.
Not even one star; in fact, minus 5 stars:
This product had poor instructions - one set on one page and another set of instructions on another page - both extremely unclear. Of all the produts I've dealt with, this one in undoubtedly the bottom of the list. I will try to get refund from Amazon.
