Very pleased:

This is a good, solid product (though a little on the heavy side, not unlike the company's knives). It eliminates the need to pre-cut the grapefruit with a knife. The serrated edges are very effective, yet do not feel sharp or pointy when you are eating the fruit from the spoon.

I have had many grapefruit spoons over many years--stainless steel, silver plated, sterling silver. But this one by Henckel far surpasses all others I have ever had. It does a fantastic job of lifting out the grapefruit slices. In the past, I've always had to use a knife to loosen the slices first. Not with this product. It is a joy to use. The handle is comfortable to hold but is quite top-heavy so it tends to fall out of the bowl when resting against the halved grapefruit. That though, is no big deal for... more info

Show your class. A new Porsche is a bit pricey; a full block of Henkle's knives likewise. But these spoons, also Henkle, are so differentiated from the 79 cent grapefruit spoon at the dollar store, which are the only other ones of which I am cogniscent, that there is no comparison. Oh! Your local gourmet supply emporium will not stock these and will pretend that it cannot figure out how to special order them. Amazon was a beacon here. A fair price shipped quickly.
