Powerful inexpensive self-moving vacuum:
I bought this vacuum based on the reviews here and its very modest price. I use it once a week or more for my apartment carpets. I don't know how it takes heavy duty use. Several reviewers complained it is not very robust with heavy use. In addition to being light weight, the brushes pull it along. It really could use a brake sometimes! Will not Power on 4 months after purchase:
Very disappointed in the quality of this item. We got it 4 months ago for light use in our office and it will no longer power on.

This vacuum is absolute trash... in addition to the hose continually removing itself from the base at the brush it also constantly overheats and will not restart for up to a half hour... It generally overheats after just a few moments and rarely can you make your way through an entire room before it shuts itself off... I would strongly recommend buying something more expensive that actually works... Avoid this item at all costs...
Very good vacuum for the money:
My old upright vacuum (bag-type model) died the other week, and I picked this up at Sam's Club for a mere $50 as a replacement. I wasn't expected it to be so good for the money or the weight. It picked up LOADS of dirt that my old machine had left in the carpet. Needless to say, I'm very impressed. The unit is really light, and practically pulls itself along.
