Editorial Review:
Has your old microwave become more trouble than it's worth? The Cuisinart CMW-100 will show you why microwaves are no longer just for warming up leftovers. A stainless steel interior and 25 pre-programmed settings make the this an incredibly versatile mocrowave oven. The nonporous interior makes cleanup a cinch, and prevents odors from one food leeching into others. With the 12-inch rotating glass tray, your food is evenly cooked, so the only reason to keep an eye on your food is for entertainment purposes. The optional two-stage cooking operation allows the microwave to be set so that first stage of operation (such as 15 minutes on defrost) is automatically followed by a second stage (such as cooking for 8 minutes). With eight preset menu options and an individual serving-size menu for each, you just might need to find other uses for your stove-top oven. Nonporous interior will not absorb odors, moisture or food particles Easy to clean 12 rotating glass tray included Touchpad controls with LCD Two convenient defrost functions to defrost food by weight or time Eight preset menu options, with individual serving-size menu for each (total 25) Two-stage cooking operation Instructions and Recipe book included

Poor Reliability:
The features and performance of this microwave are fine. The stainless steel interior and exterior are great. However, the reliability and quality of construction are very poor. Out of the box the turntable created a clicking sound as if loose or skipping. Now after less than 3 months, the control panel has gone completely dead. I expect more from Cuisinart.
Microwave stopped working! Display light is on, but cannot press any of the buttons.:
I've had this microwave for about a year and a few months, then one day just a week ago, it stopped working! The display light on the screen is still on and so is the light inside the microwave when I open the door, but none of the buttons on the pad work. So the microwave is now pretty useless. I was considering contacting Cuisinart re: repair of the machine, but after reading about other people's attempts to do the same, maybe it's best I just replace the microwave. What a disappointment!
Died after 16 months!!!!:
We received this microwave from our wedding registry. We were thrilled when we got it and it worked fine for 16 months, then one died, I pressed 'start' and it totally shut off. I thought I blew a fuse, but nope everything else around it was still working. I tried other outlets and the thing never turned back on! Just like other people said, it just died on us. I thought cuisinart was reliable but I will NEVER buy that brand again.
Not able to enter the cooking time!?:
A microwave that has a numeric keypad but doesn't allow you to enter the exact amount of time you want something to cook? This is not understandable. I like cooking my veggie burgers 45 seconds each side. It cooks them just right. Problem: you can't just press 4-5-START on this microwave. You can only cook things in increments of 30 seconds. Give me a break.
