Quality Level:
I haven't had the problems that the other reviewers have. The tabs can't be too sticky without pulling the paint off the wall, so they are just sticky enough to hold it up. Sometimes it helps to wipe the spot on the wall clean before applying the leveling tool. It definitely works better on a smooth wall than a textured one. The stud finder is one of the more comprehensive ones I have seen, with built in bubble leveler. It has a a nice charm and it allows you to adjust for the thickness of the material... more info
Not truly "hands-free":
I bought this with high hopes. The sticky tabs do not stick to the wall, because the "legs" will not retract like they are supposed to. Also, it is supposed to project a line up to 20 ft. but does not. I am returning it today. The only redeeming quality is that the stud sensor is good. However, I already have a stud finder which is just as accurate and was much less expensive.
look elsewhere for a line level:
the stud sensor works fine but I can't say the same for the line level the "dots" just don't do the job of holding it in place while you work. I can't tell you how many times I have had to pick mine up.
