Potato smashing 101:

Believe it or not I could not find this type of conventional masher anywhere in my community so I was glad to see I could get it through Amazon. My only complain is the flimsly feel of it but hey, it gets the job done and probably will last me a long time.

Change to an older style:

I have always had a different style of potato masher, so this is a change for me. It is a better design, to be recommended for both potato mashing and for banana mashing as part of frequent loaves of banana bread.

Love it:

I just received this potato masher in the mail a few days ago and used it today for the first time. I don't like the wire mashers and the electric mixer overworks the potatoes and doesn't make them taste right. This one is just like the one my mom had when I was growing up and now I remember why her potatoes were so good. It is easy to use and gets the job done without overwhipping the potatoes. I love it!
