Editorial Review:
The Induction Heating System Rice Cooker & Warmer uses a high-tech Induction Heating (IH) method to heat the inner cooking pan. Because of this heating method, rice cooks exceptionally well. This IH Rice Cooker also features easy-to-clean clear-coated stainless steel exterior, healthy cooking options such as brown rice, GABA BROWN and germinated brown rice settings, and an interchangeable melody and beep signal. GABA BROWN is a way of cooking brown rice to ?activate? it and increase naturally occurring gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), an amino acid in brown rice believed to have health giving properties such as lowering blood pressure, improving kidney function and relieving stress. The brown rice is ?activated? by soaking the rice at 104°F for 2 hours before the actual cooking begins. Other features include automatic keep warm, extra large LCD display for Clock and Timer functions and detachable inner lid. Fantastic rice!:
This is a simple review to write...this unit is fantastic; best rice we've ever had, esp. the gaba rice! I only wish the timer would tell you how long it has to cook... Other than that, fantastic. It keeps rice warm for as long as you want and cooks evenly and perfectly every time.
pay the money:
I have gone through 2 cheap rice cookers. It was very nice not to have water all over the counter or burnt rice on the bottom of the pot. I am glad I upgraded and paid the money for a wonderful rice cooker.
Worth every cent:
The difference between a el chepo $25 rice cooker and a fancy neuro fuzzy model was impressed upon me by my colleague. After tasting the rice made by a Sanyo neuro fuzzy rice cooker I resolved to buy a good quality Japanese rice cooker. I brought this rice cooker after looking at all the wonderful reviews here on amazon and other places in the Internet. The rice cooker has lived up to its hype and much more. It really is worth the 5 star reviews. First let me start off with the white rice. It cooks... more info
Everything people say--fantastic:
We've had this for two weeks and used it 10 times already, for oatmeal (steel cut oats, NOT quick-cook version, use the porridge setting), sushi rice (to make onigiri rice balls), regular rice. We like the larger model because we like to make lunches for the entire week ahead of time. Needless to say, no more rice-water scum all over the stove, wasted rice stuck to the bottom of the pan. It's great, and easy to use, easy to clean. You'll wonder how you ever had rice without it.
