Inexpensive Child Seat Cart:
I bought this luggage cart to transport a child seat (a Britax Marathon) through the airport. I had looked at carts made specifically for child seats and they are SO expensive. This cart was a great price and the LATCH system attached straight to the cart, nice and easy. I'm 5'8" tall and the height of the handle is ok for me, but would be too short for anyone much taller. I'm not a huge fan of the attached cording that you would use to secure luggage, but it works. Bungees would be better, I think. Anyway,... more info
Overall, it's great:
I used one of these every day for a couple of years when I had a heinously heavy "laptop" computer (something like 25 lbs with everything plus my lunch in the bag). probably not the best for a car seat carrier:
We bought this to use as a car seat carrier, and for that it was a little cumbersome. The straps on it are not the best. I would probably use bungee cords next time. It took more time to get it all attached just right between flights than I would like, but luckily we were not in a hurry. And even when all strapped in I would not have my son ride in the car seat- it just did not feel stable enough for that. If you're using it for luggage it is probably just fine.
Excellent Product:
I use the Samsonite compact luggage cart for carting arroud thick and heavy lab notebooks that I need to grade. I'm a college instructor. The travel cart has been a great help to me. It has a very sturdy construction. Its very easy to fold and unfold. When folded it takes very little space, so that I can place it in the front passenger leg area in my car. Its not very heavy to carry around when folded. It has sturdy wheels and sturdy chords too (the chords are not bungee chords). I transport at a time 25 to... more info
