Fine for one small frame pistol:
Price was great and I was happy to get free shipping also. I couldnt find anything with the features and price in my local area and you could spend a lot more on the web. This thing works fine. The opening for the door is kind of small and I even have to tilt my Steyr M9 to get it in and out, but fits fine once inside. Heavy Duty and Reliable:
This is an incredible value. I feel totally safe leaving a weapon unattended in this product. Mounted to a stud this is not coming off the wall without a fight. Then accessing the contents would be difficult as well. It can also be hidden behind cloths in any closet. This makes it difficult to find. Don't buy this safe!:
Don't buy this safe!!! There are two major design flaws.
1. The first is the lack of a mechanical key backup to unlock the safe if the electronics fail. Remember, any electronic device will fail eventually. If the electronics fail you have no way to open the safe but to cut it open.
2. The second flaw is exposed wiring and battery pack on the inside. I placed a metal object in the safe and it fell against the battery terminals shorting it out. This erased the electronic combination that was... more info
Great handgun safe for those with children:
I really like this safe for keeping my children away from my firearm.
Pros:
1. It is not expensive.
2. It is easy to use.
3. Small enough to fit most anywhere (mine is screwed into the wall of my closet, and is hidden by my clothes). Cons:
1. Keys don't light up at night.
2. Keys are HOMAK, so having a meaningful code is not likely.
3. If you have more than one handgun (with magazines), you may want a bigger size. Overall, I am well pleased with this safe.
