The DELTA 35-7670 8-inch Stacked Dado Set includes two 8-inch dado blades made to DELTA's exacting standards. DELTA uses a laser cutting technique to ensure that each blade is accurately cut without any warping. You'll have exceptionally smooth cuts, and fewer splintering and tear-outs, thanks to the extremely sharp cutting edges with C4 micro-grain carbide teeth that are ground so that each tooth planes the wood. The expansion slots are precisely cut to minimize noise and edge vibration. Also included are 4-tooth carbide tipped chippers to deliver flat bottom cuts, as well as stainless steel shims for making ultra-fine width adjustments. Included with the set is a storage case that protects the blades against damage.

I like "clean cuts":

I chose this set from the several that was listed.
1st- number of teeth on blades.
2nd- Price
3rd- Packaging
Have not been sorry for my choice. It has given me very clean cuts. The metal shims are sooo much better than the plastic shims. The package is very good - except for the plastic nuts used to secure the blades. One was broken when received. If it had metal wing nuts would give it "5 star" rating.

This one they got right!:

Right up front I want to say I just received the dado today and have only run a couple sample cuts through scrap redwood, walnut and red oak, BUT so far so good. Smooth bottoms without tearing and accurate 3/8", 1/2" & 5/8" dado cuts. Very clean entry and exit; all in all, everything you'd ask of a quality stacked dado tool.
I originally bought the Freud "super dado" and found it less than super. The tool finish and packaging were substandard, and the dado didn't cut any better than the 20 year old... more info

Dado set:

Have used this dado blade several times and I have had very good results with it. With the instructions for making dados in the undersized plywood I have had nice tight fitting joints.

Excellent Dado Set:

After much research, I settled on this set from Delta. This set makes nice smooth grooves, no chipping or spliting. I have used it on 3 projects so far, all involving some sort of plywood or veneer. Love it, best bang for your buck for this type of set.
