I was looking for a blade that would minimize tearout on some oak handrail I was cutting. It does a good job in that respect but is a little aggressive with the 5 deg hook angle. I'm using it in a slide compound saw and it does not have quite as smooth a cut as other CMT blades I've used. The 40 deg. beveled teeth are very sharp and bottom tearout is minimal, I've even cut stair tread material upside down, something I would have never tried with my other blades.
