Not bad, still getting used to it:
I bought this camera from Amazon about a month ago to replace a 4 yr old Kodak. I went with this camera for the great reviews on multiple sites and because of the Canon brand. I don't intend to take a ton of pictures, but wanted something that could fit in a pocket and take good, quality pictures. The price being around $200 was good for me and the 3" LCD screen is great for viewing. I did find the flash a bit annoying at first, but maybe that's because of my ignorance. very pleased:
I am a "point and shoot" type of photographer and just need the basics. This is a great camera at a great price.
Poor quality when set on Auto:
I find picture quality in Auto Mode very disappointing. I am sure there is a way to improve it through one of hundreds of adjustable settings but if you are casual photographer like me this camera may not be the best option.
Specially inside, when using flash, picture comes out washed-out and very dark. Outside pictures on a cloudy day are slightly better. We have twin babies and take a lot of pictures inside, needless to say, my wife is very disappointed.
