Customer Review: A great read! This book has inspired a couple random road trips already. If you live in New England and enjoy all its little oddities this guide is a great place to discover some things you may not have known about. Customer Review: I adore well written horror and it is so rare to come by, I absolutely loved this book. It is not easy to creep me out, this book creeped me out good. There are not a lot of scary scenes in Shadow Child, the story is so solid it didn't need a ton of horror filler. After finishing the book I searched... more info
Customer Review: I am an avid reader of the paranormal. I head a paranormal book of the month club due to my ever-expanding library. When I started reading this book, I found I couldn't put it down. Customer Review: I suppose I was spoiled by Citro's other books " The Shadow Child " which kept me up nights yet, couldn't put it down or the follow up book " Guardian Angels " . This book was originally published sometime ago under the Title " The Unseen " and now marketed under " Gore " . Sorry Mr. Citro,... more info
Customer Review: As one who is actively studying and researching the remarkable history of Vermont, Mr. Citro's book is not only a delightful addition to any American folklore library, but a fine compendium of well researched and well written stories of lore, fact, fantasy, and mystery. A new family has moved into the old house on... more info

Customer Review: While not as full or well-founded as his earlier books (more a collection of snippets), this book is another excellent collection, rewritten with incredible prose, of bizarre tales (some bordering on folklore) from Vermont's green hills. He paints a fascinating portrait of our magical land, as well... more info
