Customer Review: They say this reads in just 6 seconds. It didn't. It took more like 25 to 30 seconds from the time you immerse it in ice water till the display reads 32 F. Customer Review: We used it all summer to grill string beans, sweet peppers, egg plant, onions and whatever we found fresh. With a light coating of olive oil the above foods were out of this world and you woouldn't believe how it brings out the flavor of mushrooms.
